"Selectmen reject more gas pumps!"

The Bourne Board of Selectmen, last night, rejected an application to install additional gas pumps as part of a reuse strategy for the Quintal property on Scenic Highway, at the Belmont Circle, Buzzards Bay.

The vote was 4 to 0 with Selectmen Skip Barlow recusing himself, as having a possible conflict of interest.

The Bourne Planning Board and the BBVA attended the hearing and presented testimony in opposition to licensing additional gas pumps in the area.

We have subsequently learned the applicant will now seek Planning Board approval for just a convenience store and donot shop on the site.
